Born in northern Virginia near Washington, D.C., Michael moved to Alabama at age 15 and attended college at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB). After receiving a scholarship offer to attend law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, Michael moved to southern California in 2003 to pursue his legal education. He graduated with highest honors (summa cum laude) in 2006 and quickly passed the bar.
To gain valuable trial experience, Michael worked with the San Joaquin County Public Defender from 2007-2010. Working with a heavy caseload, Michael handled hundreds of cases and won many jury trials and even more dismissals and favorable outcomes for his clients. In July 2010, Michael decided to start his own practice and set up shop in Manteca, just across the street from the courthouse, where he works every day.
Michael is happily married to his brilliant and lovely wife Meg and spends his free time with her and his son Ewan.
